The first appearance of the spirit of jealousy in The Logos is found in Genesis 3:1. We read:
'Now the snake was the most cunning animal that El-ohim had made. The snake asked the woman, "Did GOD really tell you not to eat the fruit from any tree in the garden?"'
You may be wondering where jealousy is released in this situation. Lemme me show you. Jealousy gets released into relationship dynamic when:
A. one or more parties believes another has something they shouldn't have or
B. one or more parties believes they should have what someone else has instead of the actual owners.
To demonstrate scenario A, in Genesis 3 satan releases the spirit of jealousy on Eve and Adam because he doesn't believe they deserve the audience they have with Yahweh each day. He doesn't think they should have the carefree lives they live in Eden, and he definitely doesn't think they're anything special because they're made out of dust, not of the class of angels and other supernatural beings.
For scenario B, satan thinks he's the deserving party of the authority and dominion El-ohim gave to Adam and Eve (Isaiah 14:14); he should be the special, celebrated one instead of them.
That's bad enough already, but there's a greater, underlying demonic spirit that jealousy partners with - the victim spirit (or mentality). Very basically, the victim spirit blames someone or something else for everything and it's a stronghold that every human on earth is birthed into. If you look at the state of American culture and politics today, you see just how prevalent the victim stronghold is ... it's always someone else's fault.
I read in my mentor's blog earlier this year about his belief of how the spirit of jealousy released in churches attacks so many pastors' marriages. Someone sitting in the pews thinks about how good the pastor has it and and wishes they could just be married to him or be her and the demonic is crouching at the door waiting for the invitation from one believer to release a curse on another (see my video, Witchcraft Attacks). Jealousy is ugly business.
I'm dealing with the spirit of jealousy right now. Don't know why 'cause I don't have anything and I'm not anything. The major value I have in life is to The Lord only and I'm still, at my age, asking Him to reveal to me my core value to The Kingdom.
Another of my mentors always says, "Men fail because of broken focus." Broken focus is a friend of jealousy. We stop focusing on living our original design and meditate on someone else's perceived blessings which messes us up in a myriad of ways because it's contrary to The Father's will. God didn't create anyone to look at others' anything and desire it. Matter of fact, he warned us by The 10 Commandments (Exodus 20) how seriously dangerous coveting is. Every time we break from El-ohim's original plans, we accept a curse. Every time, everyone, always, all of us.
Yahweh, Supreme Ruler, Lawgiver and Righteous Judge, I come before you covered in The Blood of Yeshua and invoking my legal rights through our covenant relationship. I apply The Blood against the demons surrounding this jealousy assignment and submit them to You for judgement based on my legal rights because of Yeshua's finished work. His Blood, Name and our covenant are greater than any legal right the enemy is enforcing against me because of human jealousy. I trust You, Lord, to uphold our covenant above any demonic covenant and redeem and avenge me. I thank and praise You for freeing me from the curse of jealousy and releasing every blessing owed me regarding this situation. Amen.
I bless you in the Name and authority of Yeshua The Messiah.
